The town of Vulcan Communities in Bloom is a volunteer committee of amateur gardeners, which started in 2002.
They help to promote the national program of "People, plants and pride ... growing together"
Where we meet: Vulcan Library 303 - Center St 3rd Monday of each month
We are looking for your imput and ideas for the town areas. I know how great your yards were this summer. 2008 - Next year has lots happening and we need to get started now! Everyone Welcome.
On September 22nd, Metro Moncton, New Brunswick hosted the 13th Edition of National Awards Ceremony, honouring municipalities from Canada, the United States, England, Ireland and Scotland.
Next year they will be invited to Lethbridge. This is so exciting!

- In recognition and appreciation of your yard and garden efforts.
C in Bloom committee members were out and about at the end of July, meeting and talking with gardeners in town and with some rural residents. We enjoyed looking over the fences in backyards and sometimes peaking thru fences to see what wonderful ideas are hidden in Vulcan. There are so many of you doing a fantastic job!

Communities in Bloom National Parks and Grounds Symposium and Awards Ceremonies!
The national program involves hundreds of communities and cities across Canada and abroad.
Find out what other communities are participating in the program and learn about the Eight Key Criteria
In July and August, trained volunteer judges travel to participating communities.
They evaluate the overall contributions of municipal council and departments; industry; businesses and the private sector - including volunteer efforts.
All meetings are open to the public. We would welcome your ideas and help. What can YOU do?
