Annual Fly-In Breakfast - Flying Club
The airport is located to the west of Vulcan and to its paved runways they came!.
Taildraggers, tricycles, ultralights, homebuilts and helicoptors.was organized in 1977 and incorporated in 1978. The Club's purpose was to provide and encourage flying in this area and improve the facilities. The Club has hosted a Fly-in Breakfast every year since their incorporation attracting up to 89 aircraft.
July 15, 2007- Annual Fly-in Breakfast attracted 39 aircraft and many observers. I was able to photograph this helicopter Take Off! from the Vulcan airport.
The Town of Vulcan is located just one hour from the cities of Calgary or Lethbridge. The Flying Club is active and meets once a month.
Club members were there to help direct and park the aircraft.
