No voyage to southern Alberta would be complete without seeing how gardening is done here on the praires! The county of Vulcan is blessed with rich soil and plenty of sunshine for the best growing and growing conditions.

"Prairie Paradise of Roses" - For those of who have tried to grow tender roses without success, do not to take it personally; there are tricks to keeping tender roses. This summer I had the opportunity to visit a rural southern Alberta farm. Where I was delighted to find over 100 roses being grown.

Communities in Bloom Committee - These volunteers work very hard to promote “People, plants and pride … growing together “the programs national slogan.
