Train Days a great garden idea!All aboard!Much to my delight I enjoyed seeing the Model Train Days at a local garden center. A short voyage from the town of Vulcan. The Train Days are held on the Father’s day weekend in June at the Aspen Crossing Tree Farm and Garden center just a 30 minute drive from Calgary.
The Rocky Mountain Garden Railroaders Featured G scale trains with realistic backdrops
The familiar sounds whistles and horns and chugging of the train around the track held one mesmerised.
To see the next train coming 
and leaving the station. 
The owner of Aspen Crossing – Jason Thornhill has a love for trains and preserving the memory of the railroads history and the importance to the area. At the garden centre which is built as a replica of a train station there is a free museum. Upstairs one will find memorabilia and artefacts of the railway and days gone by.
This beautifully preserved 76’ long car seats as many as 40 people and provides a very elegant dinning experience After viewing an interesting model train display by the Rocky Mountain Garden Railroaders and a meal in the dinning car I then purchased a few items at the gift store and returned home. Reminiscing about my childhood train days and how I need to travel by train across Canada
